Acceptable Use Policy
Rules and Guidelines
In exchange for the use of the Buffalo Free-Net Community Computer System, you
must understand and agree to the following:
- That the use of the Buffalo Free-Net is a privilege, which may be revoked by the administration
of the system for abusive conduct. Such conduct would include, but not be limited to the
placing of unlawful information on the system and the use of obscene, abusive, or
otherwise objectionable language in either public or, upon registration of complaint,
private messages. The staff of the Buffalo Free-Net will be the sole arbiter of what
constitutes obscene, abusive, or objectionable language.
- That the Buffalo Free-Net reserves the right to review material stored in files to which
all users have access and may edit or remove material which the Buffalo Free-Net staff
believes may be unlawful, obscene, abusive, objectionable, or otherwise in violation
of policies established by the Buffalo Free-Net.
- That all information services and features contained on the Buffalo Free-Net are
intended for the private use of its patrons, and any commercial or other unauthorized use
of those materials in any form is expressly forbidden.
- That all information contained on the Buffalo Free-Net is placed there for general
informational and entertainment purposes and is, in no way, intended to refer or be
applicable to any specific person, case, or situation.
- That conduct violating the rules of another system while connected to that system via
the Buffalo Free-Net is subject to disciplinary action on the Buffalo Free-Net.
- That you will abide by such rules and regulations of system usage as may be promulgated from time
to time by the administrators of the Buffalo Free-Net.
- That the Buffalo Free-Net does not warrant that the functions of the system will meet
any specific user requirements, or that it will be error free or uninterrupted; nor shall
the Buffalo Free-Net be liable for any direct or indirect, incidental, or consequential
damages (including lost data and misinformation) sustained or incurred in connection with
the use, operation, or inability to use the system.
The following are prohibited on the Buffalo Free-Net:
- The use of personal home pages to provide Web space for groups, clubs, or

NOTE: Qualified not-for-profit organizations with Special Interest
Group Accounts may apply to the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Free-Net for an
